Located within Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, we are part of the Hunter Cancer Centre.

Our treatments and services
Radiation Oncology
GenesisCare specialises in advanced radiation therapy for all adult cancer types. We continuously invest in modern, evidence-based treatments and modalities that hold potential for improved life outcomes.
Treatment modalities offered in our Newcastle centre include:

- Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) for left-sided breast treatment

Allied Health Services
We collaborate closely with a range of cancer support services and provide holistic support to patients throughout their treatment journey. One of your treatment team will discuss the most suitable options with you. Support services offered by referral may include:
- Exercise Physiology - delivered via Ethos Health
- Psychologist
- Palliative Care
- Speech Pathologist
- Dietitian
Free designated parking is available for patients at the front of the department and can be accessed via the laneway off Sydney Street. Seven GenesisCare parking spaces are allocated for patient use, as shown in the diagram below.
Additional parking can be found at the multi-storey car park on Hughes Street which is a short walk to GenesisCare via concrete footpaths.
Charlestown is a public transport interchange for much of the Lake Macquarie and Newcastle regions and there are two bus stops located outside Lake Macquarie Private Hospital on the Pacific Highway near Hughes St.
