Dr Eric Wegener completed his medical education at the University of Queensland in 2012 and has since then pursued advanced studies in his field, obtained a postgraduate diploma in surgical anatomy from the University of Melbourne and Radiation Oncologist specialist training at the Calvary Mater, Newcastle.
His commitment to medical education is reflected in his role as a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, where he actively teaches medical students and registrars, and serves as a supervisor for the research projects of MD students. Additionally, he is a current PhD candidate with a focus on prostate cancer, demonstrating his dedication to advancing the field through research and innovation.
Eric strives to provide personalised care with the aim of achieving the best outcomes possible for his patients. His passion for educating patients about their conditions allows them to make informed decisions and fosters a sense of trust and collaboration. Additionally, his holistic and evidence-based approach to care, combined with his genuine empathy and compassion, creates an environment where optimal patient outcomes can be obtained.
