Clinical interest in Breast cancer, Upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) cancers
Kirsty is a radiation oncologist with clinical experience in the treatment of breast and gastrointestinal (GI) cancers.
Kirsty undertook specialist radiation oncology training in NSW at Royal North Shore Hospital, Westmead Hospital and the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse hospital. She has been working at Nepean Cancer and Wellness Centre since 2020 and is a participant in the breast, upper gastro-intestinal (including liver) and lower gastro-intestinal multidisciplinary teams.
Kirsty aims to build caring and honest relationships with her patients to ensure they feel supported during their radiation treatment. She is committed to delivering high quality evidence-based care at all times.
Kirsty is involved in medical education of both medical students and radiation oncology trainees and is a clinical associate lecturer for the University of Sydney.
She has participated in the EVIQ reference committee, reviewing treatment guidelines and contributed to Cancer Council guidelines.
Kirsty is an active researcher. She has published in several oncology journals, and is an investigator on prospective national clinical trials.
