GenesisCare, Maitland offers access to personalised cancer care services including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy.
The team at GenesisCare, Maitland is dedicated to offering patients evidence-based treatments delivered in a multidisciplinary care environment. The centre offer access to cancer care services including radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and immunotherapy plus access to Allied health care services.
Our specialists have over 20 years’ experience treating patients in Maitland, Newcastle, and the Hunter Region. Patients are offered continuity of treatment and care by a specialised team including radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, registered nurses, radiation therapists, physicists, and a dedicated team of support staff.
The GenesisCare, Maitland integrated cancer centre offers patients access to support services including Allied health, and medical imaging (PET, MRI, and breast ultrasound).
Specialist oncology consultation is available in Port Stephens
Our Newcastle and Maitland Oncologists also offer access to consultation services in Nelson Bay. Our specialists have the support of Ramsay Health Care’s local network of facilities located at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital and Warners Bay Private Hospital, offering patients further choice, convenience and the opportunity for easier access to health care.

Radiation Oncology
Immunotherapy
Immunotherapy is a type of treatment that is intended to help your own immune system fight cancer. There are different types of immunotherapy for cancer that work in different ways.
At GenesisCare, we challenge ourselves every day to help find new and better ways to provide high-quality care, and we aim to deliver the best possible outcomes for our patients wherever we can. Our Maitland team may be able to offer you access to the GenesisCare global network of clinical trials. For further information on clinical trial participation, please speak with your treating doctor.
Allied health services
At GenesisCare, Maitland we offer patients access to a range of Allied health services, all tailored to support the needs of each patient. One of our treatment team will be able to discuss the most appropriate options with patients. Support services offered may include:

- Dietitian
- Speech pathology
- Psychology
Exercise Therapy
Considerable research and clinical evidence has established that exercise may be beneficial for people with cancer; however, there is no one-size-fits-all
approach.1,2 Every person’s circumstances are unique and these should be taken into account. Tailored exercise programs designed by an exercise professional that include both aerobic and resistance training activities have been shown to provide benefits.3 To learn more about incorporating exercise during your cancer journey, please speak with your doctor and treatment team.
