Evelyn Bourke

Bupa’s Group CEO from 2016 to 2020, and formerly Bupa’s Group CFO, Evelyn will Chair the UK Board and its Audit Committee.

Evelyn has held several senior leadership roles during a highly successful career, including with Friends Life / Friends Provident, Standard Life, Chase de Vere and Tillinghast (part of Willis Towers Watson).

She also serves as a Non-Executive Director for Bank of Ireland Group plc, Marks & Spencer Group plc, Admiral Group plc and AJ Bell.

Stephen Collier

Chair of HCRG Care Group, a national community services provider, will take up the role of Non-Executive Director and Chair of its Quality Assurance Committee. Stephen is highly respected within the UK healthcare sector having Chaired the Health Purchasing Alliance, a joint venture between Aviva and Vitality Health, was the Senior Independent Director and Chair of the Workforce Committee at St. George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and was formerly Chief Executive Officer of BMI Healthcare, the largest private hospital provider in the UK between 2011 and 2014.

David Young

Formerly Global CEO at GenesisCare, who led the global restructuring of the business between 2023 and 2024, will become a Non-Executive Director and Chair of its Remuneration and People Committee. Before joining GenesisCare, David had a highly successful career as President and CEO of PE GI Solutions, the largest single-specialty developer, owner and manager of gastrointestinal practices in the USA. Prior to this, David was Chief Operating Officer at Privia Health Inc, a Doctor Practice Management and medical group, also in the USA. David also served as Chief Financial Officer of US Oncology and as a Senior Vice President for McKesson Specialty Health following the combination with US Oncology. Each of these individuals possesses a unique set of skills and experiences that will complement the existing board and contribute to the strategic growth and development of GenesisCare UK.

Justin Hely, CEO, GenesisCare UK & Spain

Justin has over 20 years experience in both UK and international healthcare markets having begun his career in the NHS before joining EY where he advised a range of clients on operational and strategic improvement programmes. Prior to this, during his time with BMI Healthcare, he led several private acute hospitals working at Board and Executive Committee levels.  Justin joined GenesisCare UK as Managing Director in February 2021 and was promoted to Chief Executive Officer, UK & Spain in February 2024. 

Dr Eliot Sims, Chief Medical Officer, GenesisCare UK

Dr Sims qualified at Cambridge and trained at St Bartholomew’s and the Middlesex Hospitals, London. He completed his post-graduate research for MD at London University. Eliot has also been the Clinical Lead for Radiotherapy at Queen’s Hospital and Medical Director of Harley Street at Queen’s. He was appointed as Chief Medical Officer for GenesisCare in May 2021.  

Jarrad Solomons, Managing Director, Oaktree Capital Management

Mr Solomons is an investment professional in the Special Situations Group. Prior to joining Oaktree in 2016, he was with Macquarie Bank Limited for over eight years, most recently as a senior manager in CAF Lending, the bank’s principal lending and investing team. Mr Solomons began his career as a business analyst in the Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets group. He currently serves on the boards of directors of DDH1, Blue Sky and Marlin. Mr Solomons received a Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies) degree with majors in accounting and corporate finance. He received a Master in Finance degree from INSEAD.

Paul Nicholls, Head of Avenue Capital Group

Mr Nicholls is an experienced Corporate Finance professional, primarily focused on speciality lending and special situations investments. He is currently Head of Australia at Avenue Capital Group and previously held roles at Brookfield Financial, Harmony Capital Partners and Pitt Capital Partners.  Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Western Sydney University, a Master of Applied Finance from Kaplan Australia and an MBA from UNSW Business School.

Michael J. Bevacqua

Mr. Bevacqua joined Bain Capital in 1999. He is a Partner and the head of the Restructuring team based in Bain Capital’s Boston office. Prior to his current role, he was responsible for investments in the Automotive, Building Products, Transportation, Equipment Rental, Waste Services and Aerospace & Defense sectors. Previously, Mr. Bevacqua was a Vice President at First Union Capital Markets, an Associate in Corporate Finance at NationsBanc Capital Markets and an officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Stephen Massey, Non-Executive Chairman of Canaccord Genuity

Mr Massey is the Non-Executive Chairman of Canaccord Genuity’s Wealth Management and Investment Banking businesses in Europe. He was previously the Executive Chairman of Eden Financial Limited which was acquired by Canaccord in October 2012.

Prior to co-founding Eden in 2003, he served as CEO of Prudential-Bache International, a global financial services firm serving institutional and private clients throughout Europe, Latin America and Asia. He has an MA from Oxford University in Politics, Philosophy and Economics.
