Dr O’Donnell has a particular interest in the treatment of gynaecological cancers, prostate, bladder and renal cancers. She specialises in prostate brachytherapy.
Dr O’Donnell was appointed as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in 2009. She is currently Clinical Director and Lead cancer Physician at the Berkshire Cancer Centre, within the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Dr O’Donnell graduated from Merton College, Oxford and went on to complete initial medical training at St George's Hospital Medical School, London. She then completed postgraduate training at Bart's and The London Hospital in 2002. She became accredited in Clinical Oncology in 2007.
Dr O’Donnell has completed two years as a Clinical Research Fellow at the Royal Marsden Hospital and the Institute of Cancer Research.
